Small Town Life In The Middle of Missouri

back at it

I'm really disappointed that I haven't been able to make more time for this blog. I had high hopes when I set it up, but they haven't really come to pass. The changing seasons are making me sneeze, but I love fall. Can't help but remember other autumn days when it was expected that we take a leaf looking drive sometime in October. Now we are too busy. That's not the way it is supposed to be

Tonight is the big VP debate. We'll probably sit through it and analyze each word even though we don't like either candidate. I figure we'll like them less before November 4 comes around. I remember the first inaugeration of George W.. A young man had car trouble when he was traveling through Farber and ended up in the library because nothing else was open. He had his beautiful little daughter with him, and he needed to walk to the local machine shop, so I volunteered to watch her. I turned on our tv hoping to entertain her, forgetting that this was on almost every station. This tiny, little girl sat on the floor with her eyes glued to the screen as George took the oath. Permanent picture for my mind.

I'm gone now until Saturday, but I promise to get with it in a little while
