Hello world, wanted to dish a bit on a fast 3 day visit from my baby brother. These visits have been scarce, so they are precious. This trip he brought his three grown children, who have turned into carismatic young adults . They love to play cards, and I think we're the only ones who play with them. That was one of the first things they said when they came in the door, that and did you get any of that ice cream we like? Visit was great, be back later.

My brother is coming.
I have news. My younger brother is coming to visit. There are only the two of us and he's 12 years younger than me. He lives in Chicago, has three almost grown children. Hope to spend the day tomorrow with his family and our mother. She's 98, lives in a near-by nursing home. Family is a funny thing thing. You love each other even though we get irritated with each other every now and then.

Super Sunday
This has been a nice, quiet Lord's Day afternoon. We've been to church. Our baby preacher (he's 25) came by for a while. Weather is beautiful. What more could a person ask.
Anybody know how I can find other computer savvy senior citizens? We like to dance, We've been to three senior dances in a row. We've made some wonderful friends - and its good excercise they tell me. I'm grateful i can still move.
Just finished a book by a lady named Stella Cameron. It was a good story, but dotted with some bayou voodoo junk that turned me off a bit. I think my favorite type of reading material is a good mystery where I can try to figure out who did it.

Rainy Thursday
Well could this be an ordinary day. i doubt it. I was trying to set a tape to record in a vcr that we've had forever and never used. Corky, the expert, was sitting in his recliner telling me how to do it. That was no help. So I finally gave up and got out the instruction book. Duh!!! Worked like a charm.
This little town has more excitement sometimes than a big city. This morning there a wreck at the junction of Hwy 54 & rte.P. And we have somebody roaming our streets in the evening with this overwhelming urge to throw eggs. I can't imagine wasting perfectly good eggs by throwing them on buildings. There was one in the mailbox in front of the post office, too. So far there haven't been any in the bookdrop here.
gone for today, but I'll be back.

More about us
Thought I'd take a minute to tell something important. Don't know how I could have left out the fact that we are Christians, and serving th Lord takes up most of our time, as it should. We're the kind of people who pray all the time, read the Bible at night and go to church every Sunday. Our church family means a lot to us. We depend upon each other for almost everything.
Meet Corky & Nellybelle
Hello Blog world. Let me introduce us. First off we are active senior citizens. nellybelle is the internet person. Corky - retired - avid golfer. That's where he is right now. Nellybelle - still working at a public library. We love to dance, play cards, and travel. Just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on July 21. Traveled the California coastline, Yosemite, Hollywood, the whole bit. I'm shopping for equipment to really work the web (post pictures, etc.), but right now all I can do is talk. I spent last week attending the state library's summer skills institute. I took the technology class offered by Morenet and it really sparked my interest in social interaction on the web. Right now I have to get to work, but I'll be back later today to add more junk.
